  • - What are stamps?
NPR stands for Non Photorealistic Rendering. The task is to produce an image that is some kind of abstract view rather than a true-to-life photograph. We use genetic programming to evolve programs which make a series of brush strokes on a canvas. After a period of evolution the series of strokes comes to resemble a target image. We have three approaches, each based on a different kind of brush stroke.

    NPR - stamps
Brush strokes are minature images. Placing them on the canvas is somewhat like using a rubber stamp and an inkpad and applying the stamp over and over again onto a sheet of paper.
